In a New York courtroom yesterday, a witness gave testimony against former producer Harvey Weinstein, a Polish model named Kaya Scodelario. The 39-year-old woman accuses Weinstein of sexual assault, which she claims took place in 2006 when she was 19 years old. Weinstein himself denies these allegations.
Harvey Weinstein was sentenced in 2020 to 23 years in prison for charges of sexual assault related to the previous producer Mimi Halley and actress Jessica Mann in 2013. However, in April 2024, the New York Supreme Court overturned this decision, allowing other proposed victims to speak about facts that had not been presented to Weinstein.
